I'm not sure what Eukanuba variety you are looking at but I feed my dogs Adult Large Breed Maintenance. The first three ingredients are chicken, chicken by-product meal, and corn meal. Some times I make my own dog food at home and these are the same ingredients that I use with one of my recipes. And when I look down the rest of the list, it contains the other things that I add to mine like brewers yeast, etc. so they do for me what I would prefer to do all the time for them, but because I have such large animals and so many the cost and effort is overwhelming to feed them this diet. I am grateful that Eukanuba does it for me. However, the one thing I am most grateful for is that they have little, compact poops, and that's the one benefit that makes Eukanuba stand out far and above over the rest. If you have to pick up doo then this food almost makes that task okay. And trust me, I know poo. When you have dogs that weigh over 100 lbs. they create some big piles. So I think Eukanuba is probably the best bang for your buck. And if you saw my 14 year old White Shepherd warrior princess that looks like she's getting younger every day and still plays with the youngsters you'd know shed been well fed throughout her lifetime, and isn't that the bottom line? Don't we want them with us as long as possible? No, I'm a huge Eukanuba fan and I've been using it for over 15 years now because it gives my best friends a wonderful, healthy quality of life.

Just recently I've been looking in search of some bit of info on Eukanuba. Is it really that the main ingredient is comprised of soya? Obviously there would be additional ingredients like chicken/beef included, but it doesn't to me sound like a good base.
