Thank you for taking the time to support us during our time of difficulty. Your words of comfort are appreciated. It's difficult to find know there are people so mean spirited in our midst that would hurt the animals in that manner. When you see in their eyes how they only want someone to love and protect, someone to cuddle next to and spend their days serving in any manner they're able, it's incomprehensible to me that anyone could do this. Hurt the people if you must, but don't hurt the animals. However, like you say, there are angels of God that will hold them in their arms and protect them, and they're called rescuers. And they'll show up and make the benefit a success. It's people, just like you.

Genuinely lovely. I'm writing this with our own little dog sprawled out on the patio (if I wasn't here, I wouldn't have believed a British March could bring such gorgeous sunny weather), and barely managed to finish reading without a little sniffling. So, so sweet. Thank you for writing this!

Thank you so much for your kind words and your thoughts. I appreciate that you sent this to me more than you'll ever know. Your kindness will be remembered when I have those moments of great sadness because I'll know my love for her was shared, and that helps lighten the load much more than these words can convey. Thank you.

I don't understand how people can be so cruel to something so tiny, and I'm grateful your Shelli survived her ordeal. I know beyond everything I believe in this life that those that cause pain will suffer for the misery they cause, and that's the only thing that allows me to continue. Otherwise the cruelty of this world would simply be too much to bear.

Thanks for sharing this story. My cat Shelli was also thrown from a car as a tiny kitten, but thankfully she was not injured physically and she has been living with us ever since. I wish I could say that there was no psychological damage too, but sadly there is. She is very nervous around people that she doesn't know, and she doesn't really like going outside. She prefers to stay inside in familiar surroundings where noone can harm her

Thank you Julie. It takes a group of us to keep things going at RCHS and I love being a part of all of it. I do what I do to help make this group grow and become stronger and have found out that some times it makes me a stronger person. I do have to admit there are times when I wonder why I try so hard ..... then I look out into the kennel and look into the eyes of the dogs and cats that we have there and I know why, because I want every one of these animals and any animal that comes through our doors to find a forever loving home.
